About MDB

Established in 1971 by the Birmingham Area Chamber of Commerce, MDB’s goal is to diversify and grow the Birmingham region’s economy through the expansion of existing firms, through capital investment and through the attraction of new jobs into the area.

MDB markets the area aggressively, by offering site location assistance, by providing research assistance, and by acting as a liaison with government agencies.

MDB also coordinates economic development activities and information among other local agencies.
